COLAB encourages all citizens to vote in every election cycle. We provide information so that you can make an informed decision.

Dedicated to transparency and accountability for our local government.

As a non-partisan and non-political organization, COLAB does not participate in local, state, or national elections. However, as an organization dedicated to transparency and accountability in local government, COLAB will maintain an online library of local election documents. These documents allow the public to shed light on campaign spending and support that may influence the decisions of elected leaders during their time of public service.

Following the June 5, 2018 primary election , the Imperial County Election Department received criticism from the public on the inadequate communication during the ballot processing.  The Imperial County Supervisors created an Ad-Hoc Task Force to address the issue.  COLAB was appointed to that committee.  As changes are made, we will communicate them on this website.

Check out the County Election Department new improved website.

Improvement include polling place list, links to form, press releases and notices, etc.

Also note that the County is seeking poll workers—and the pay has been increased.

Additionally, the Election Department will convene an Election Observer Panel to observe activities associated with the November 6, 2018 General Election. COLAB will participate in this panel. If you are interested, please contact by October 26, 2018.
